Description: I finally found this cemetery in January 2009 thanks to comments left on this website. SO THANK YOU Harold who gave me great directions to this cemetery..... I always thought it was a little more north of where it was, plus was thinking it was going to be buried in the woods and hard to find... so I probable would not have found it on my own.

I also originally thought this cemetery was spelled "Workhiser", but since the sign at the cemetery has it as "Workheiser", I will go with that from now on.

Pictures: I took pictures of EVERY stone in this cemetery in January 2009.

Subject: Workheiser Cemetery

Just a quick update. I have also emailed info and pics to you. The spelling may or may not be different than you show. I have my pictures labeled as Workheiser, but looking closely them, am not now certain.

Anyway, the location is further south than the Genealogy Society shows. I am very familiar with the river, it's twists and turns, and that whole area. The cemetery is located close to the next parking area south of the parking area that you show. It is quite easy to locate. Park there and just walk straight east. There is a walkway mowed that will take you to it. If you begin going down hill, you have taken the wrong walkway.

I have visited the Workheiser Cemetary quite a number of times. The spelling on the sign is different than your spelling. I have a couple of pictures and can send those to you. It is south of Porter Cemetary, approximately where the Genealogy Society location is on your map, but probably about a half mile from the river on a bluff overlooking the river bottom. It is not too far from the road and a hunter parking area; but not as close to the road as the Porter Cemetary.
