Subject: Burial records, do you know where the records are. I am looking to see if the parents of a relative are listed somewhere I can

Do you know where the burial records for this cemetery are? I am looking for the parents of J W Goetschius(buried there) and also the parents of his wife Martha Jane (also buried there). Actually if there is a record or card, etc. available a picture would be wonderful. Sometimes when I am looking for someone I can find a clue in any little bit of info. Please let me hear something soon. What was the denomination of the church?

There is a wonderful genealogy library in Danville, Ill that has all the known burials of Vermilion County. There are marriages form 1827
to 1915. Mike Coan, works at Papes Mortuary and is the one who did the cemeteries of VC, IL.
According to Ancestry family tree Martha's father was Rev King.
There is also a rev war Patriot by that surname. Good Luck

Subject: Cemetery pictures

Hi Carla,
I plan to visit the cemetery again this summer (my 3rd great grandfather is buried there and the cemetery needs WORK) - if you would like, I would be happy to take pictures just for you and email them. Let me know if that's of interest and we can talk about the types of shots you want.

Subject: Thank You!!!!

I just wanted to thank all who helped put these pictures on this website. I have been looking for the burial place of my Great-great Grandparents William and Alcinda McDonald and I found them here!!! How wonderful it is that sitting in my living room in Utah I can find my ancestors graves in Middlefork Illinois! Simply amazing! Thanks again, and God bless!!

Subject: I lived near this cemetery

Hi, I grew up just down the road from this cemetery. I remember the church that sat near where the small building is now. It was in the early 70's, I helped my grandfather mow this cemetery, and also helped him contsruct the cable fence that surrounds it. I see they have replaced the cable with chain, I think it was around 1975-1978. I still visit it frequently, brings back memeories of the area and my childhood.
