Cemetery Name: Nicholson Cemetery Also Known As: Indian Paint Cemetery, Indian Point Cemetery Location: McKendree Township, East of Westville GPS Location: 40.05896 -87.58355 (link to Google Map) Description: Nicholson Cemetery is one of the hardest cemeteries to reach. In the pictures, I have included a "map" of sorts that I made to help find the cemetery. The cemetery is also on private property, so get permission before visiting. Pictures: I visited this cemetery in September 2006, and got pictures of all the stones I could find. I do plan to revisit this cemetery to take updated pictures & better quality pictures. We plan to visit there April 29 to see the graves of my ancestors, Elijah Whitaker, Mary Sharp Whitaker Anderson, and Ruth Wright Sharp Nicholson.
Do you know who we should contact for permisson?
lookin to join family on same trail. My family is from the vermillon county area. are you on ancestry.com? not sure if I should travel from california to illinois to do deeper reseach. are you in ill.? I was thinking of looking into cemetary sites. did you ever get to the nicholson site?

Picture #3- stone no long findable. To help with the location info- the area that the cemetery is in is commonly refered to as The Bottoms, owned by the Bean's.
I can supply updated pictures. I was there about 2 weeks ago and have very updated pictures.
