Subject: McGee Cemetery
I know exactly where this cemetery is located. As a Boy Scout, we camped at the old homestead and did some clean-up and maintenance on the cemetery. December 02, 2008 - 22:09
Subject: McGee Cemetery
When I was younger, my boy scout troop camped out there every fall and did work on the cemetery. There is a dirt road that dead ends about two hundred yards from the cemetery. we made a path or "trail" rather to it and built a fence surrounding the perimeter. Its in a very neat location hidden in the woods and only a few hundred yards from the river valley. Its unfortunate that it isnt open to the public. I also know that my last few years in scouts we stoped going for one reason or another, and i dont believe the troop has gone back since. November 25, 2008 - 03:20
Subject: McGee Cemetary
I visted the cemetary a couple years ago with my uncle, Charles F. McGee of Catlin. The family of James C. McGee is buried there (my grandfather's great grandfather) and we have an inventory of the grave stones that was created by a power plant employee in 1962. It has been maintained by a local Boy Scout troup. November 25, 2008 - 03:19

I asked my father about this cemetery and he was not aware of its location. He was the rural mail carrier on Danville RR#1 for many years and very familiar with this area. When the road and bridge were open he drove it every day. At the least it was not visible from the road. Leave a Comment
