Cemetery Name: Martin Family Plot

Location:  Newell Township, North East Danville

Approximate GPS Location:  40.17278 -87.60279 (link to Google Map)

Description: Martin Family Plot was only used shortly - mostly likely between 1826-1832..... not much after the "Milk Sickness" of 1831 that effected many in this area. (In 1832, the Martin's & other families started Brierly cemetery just north of Martin Family Plot). The description of the cemetery: T20N R11W in Sec 27, W, W 1/2, NW 1/4...... which is on the east side of Bowman Ave., between Liberty & Winter - within 100 feet of the road. At one time the cemetery was marked by a pile of rocks, but it is not believed to have any headstones.

I have not found this "pile of rocks" so I'm not sure exactly where this cemetery is.
