I came across the Lorrence Pioneer Cemetary years ago; just after Kennekuk County Park was opened. At that time, there was no sign or pathway back to it; and it was very heavilty overgrown. I searched through the brush and found several gravestones and several stones, that appeared to mark grave locations. There were also several very old red cedars growing there that appeared to have been planted near the graves. I pointed out to the park officials that there were graves in that location. I do not recall if they already knew the graves were there or not. A few years later they marked it, put up a sign, and a pathway.

I have also come across other small grave plots in wooded areas over the last few years. You may already be aware of those, but I just discovered your site; so have not checked everything out yet.
