Cemetery Name: Lebanon Cemetery

Location:  Carroll Township, South West of Indianola

GPS Location 39.91456 -87.74982 (link to Google Map)

Description: In 1824, a church was started at this location and in 1829, land was purchased for Lebanon Cemetery. In the late 1800's & early 1900's, the cemetery was in bad shape, and in 1924 the cemetery was cleaned up rededicated for it's 100th anniversary. Again in 1966, Dr. Earl L. Baum gave a great effort to restore the cemetery and because of his effort, the cemetery is still in good shape today.

Pictures: I took pictures of EVERY stone in this cemetery in August 2008.
