Cemetery Name: Bethel Cemetery Location: Love Township, East of Ridge Farm GPS Location: 39.90005 -87.54025 (link to Google Map) Description: This is 1 of 3 Bethel Cemeteries in Vermilion County, about 6 miles east of Ridge Farm near the border of Indiana (plus the town of Bethel, Illinois). There was also a Bethel church near the cemetery. This cemetery is still active and is well maintained. Pictures: I took pictures of EVERY stone in this cemetery in May 2008. 509 pictures total. What a wonderful job it is to see this site. Since so many of my ancestors are buried here starting with Samuel Thompson, (and the McCleary's on my Mom's side of the tree) I was wondering if it was ever called the Thompson Cemetery as I recall someone saying the land was donated by the Thompson's.

This is a very old cemetery,and believe that the last burials were in the 1960's, but I have a lot of ancestors, plus my grandmother buried here. You have done a fantastic job in taking pictures.Myself I dabble with genealogy, and I am sure it is helpful to a lot of people that have moved away that too, are in genealogy. Thank you so much for your hobby.
