Cemetery Name: Rice Cemetery

Also Known As: Hixon Cemetery

Location:  Sadorus Township, West of Pesotum

GPS Location 39.90129, -88.38151 (link to Google Map)

Description:  Rice Cemetery was "Established Sept 17, 1877", but there is also a 1865 date on the main sign. It is located next to a "sportsmans club", and each of my visits to this cemetery was with plenty of gunshots ringing in the area. Other then that not-so-peaceful gunshots, the cemetery seems to be well maintained.

Pictures: I took pictures of EVERY stone in this cemetery in July 2010, and also took 1 video at the same time embedded below.

Video: Below is a quick overview video of Rice Cemetery. These were taken July 2010. Please note: These video's are NOT "professional" or to be used to read stones or anything like that.... these are simple to show a quick "overview" of the cemetery. For those who may never be able to visit this cemetery in person, these video's are here to show a quick "overview" of the area.
