Cemetery Name: Old Bliss Cemetery

Also Known As: Bliss Cemetery

Location:  Sidney Township, East of Sidney

GPS Location:  40.02906, -88.04430 (link to Google Map)

Description:  "Old Bliss Cemetery is an early burial ground - 1830-1870. One of the earlier burials is James Copeland, July 15, 1818." That is what is written on a small sign near the cemetery. A newer sign near the road leave off the "old" part of the name, and also has a date of 1852 on the sign. This cemetery has been inactive for many years until recently (2009), when a new burial has taken place just south of the rest of the cemetery.
