Cemetery Name: Clements Cemetery Location: Somer Township, North-East of Urbana GPS Location: 40.14473, -88.16267 (link to Google Map) Description: Clements cemetery was started around 1873, and is an active cemetery still mowed & maintained. Pictures: I took pictures of EVERY stone in this cemetery in April 2010. Also took 1 video embedded below at that same time. Thank you so much for taking all of these pictures - it must have taken hours! I am a Clements descendant and found your pictures while looking for information there are two couples in my tree with the same names. It was a bit confusing and your pictures helped clear it up with correct dates of birth and death! I was a bit upset to see that several of my ancestors headstones are in poor repair (one is actually knocked over on the ground), and that my direct relatives are completely obscured by shrubs and vines (pics 668-688). Do you have any idea who to contact regarding maintenance and repair of headstones at Clements Cemetery? I live out of state.
